Global Regulatory Awards
The Global Regulatory Awards celebrate teams working tirelessly towards making gambling a safe and responsible industry, whether or not you participate personally. Safety should always be top of mind, which makes this award so significant.
In 2023, VIXIO GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards (GRAs) celebrated their seventh year by awarding independent distinctions to individuals and companies who excelled at compliance, CSR and safer gambling practices. Held in London, this event brought together more than 350 members of the gambling industry for this memorable night of recognition.
EPIC Risk Management won the Responsible Gambling Service or Solution Provider of the Year award and Cosmina Simion was shortlisted for Best Regulatory Lawyer or In-House Counsel of the Year category, representing her third time being nominated (she also made it as a finalist last year). Nominations began late last year and ended June 30th 2023.
Casino Guru Awards
The Casino Guru Awards celebrate and acknowledge those responsible and dedicated professionals in the gambling industry by using an objective evaluation process. Awards categories focus on social responsibility, transparent bonus policies and responsible gambling. Furthermore, companies who actively assist their customers overcome gambling-related difficulties are honored as are those that provide effective complaint handling procedures.
The judging process begins by closely reviewing all supporting materials provided by nominees, followed by online calls with them to discuss their applications in depth. These discussions play an integral part in providing impartial evaluation and creating fair and equitable scoring criteria.
This year’s award judging panel will include representatives from across multiple iGaming industries such as EveryMatrix’s James Bennett, ICS-digital’s Martin Calvert and Three Ireland’s Shane Stafford; these experts possess considerable expertise when it comes to marketing the iGaming industry as well as being committed to responsible gambling standards.
Casinomeister Awards
The Casinomeister awards are selected through player votes on the Casinomeister forum and awarded to those casinos with excellent customer service, such as Betsson this year. Fun Casino and Hyper Casino were also recognized for providing excellent services.
These awards recognize individuals, businesses or government agencies with the combined intelligence of a bag of hammers. Past recipients have included criminal operators, dubious affiliate webmasters and unwitting US regulators.
This award comes with greater bite than its predecessor and is given to casinos who have fallen from grace, such as Redbet and Mr Green – two that once held high ratings from Casinomeister – but have fallen from grace over time. A special thank you must go out to Rene from casinocasino group for her tireless efforts in trying to encourage these two casinos to behave as decent human beings again.
Global Gaming Awards
The Global Gaming Awards have earned their place as the go-to awards in the gaming industry, thanks to their reputation of rewarding outstanding performers while upholding strict rules and procedures. Each company or individual nominated is judged based on merit, with nominations publicized through Shortlist magazine. Winners are chosen by an executive panel comprised of over 100 C-level executives; KPMG Crown Dependencies adjudicates voting independently to ensure transparency and fairness during selection processes.
One of the highlights of this year’s ceremony was San Manuel Band of Mission Indians being recognized with the Responsible Business Award – it truly deserves it! Another honorable mention should go out to NetEnt who won Casino Product of the Year with their innovative Jumanji slot game that capitalized on its popularity by creating something different that players found enjoyable.
